SCREENING RIOT: FROM REBELLION TO REDEMPTION AT YOUR SCHOOL OR COLLEGE
Many viewers of Riot: From Rebellion to Redemption have remarked that the film should be required viewing in American High Schools. It’s also appropriate for college and graduate level courses in history, civil rights, sociology, and more. The plan is to have the film available soon for those in academia. It will be available in various editions, from the full 80-minute director’s cut to a series of 3 half-hour chapters, each of which is perfect for viewing in a single class session. The young people who have had a chance to see the film so far have been fascinated by a chapter of recent history that’s been left out of their textbooks.
Director Kevin McLaughlin will also be available for discussions following screenings, particularly in the Northeast US. To inquire about showing the film at your school or having Kevin come by for a lively back-and-forth with your students, send an email HERE.
